Erik discovered his love of financial planning in an unexpected place. In the mid-1990s, as an enterprise development specialist, Erik found himself in the recently dissolved Soviet Union assisting small businesses in adapting to the new concepts of capitalism and entrepreneurship. While helping to set up dozens of community banks and counseling business owners on the loans they took, he quickly saw that the power of capital was in the smart planning of how to use it — and, on a broader scale, that the greatest asset of all is having the freedom to plan one’s own future. Money is simply the vehicle that gets you there.
Years later, Erik returned home with a love of financial planning and an eagerness to share his approach with others who see wealth as a powerful means to fulfilling a meaningful life. Since then, he’s managed hundreds of millions of dollars in assets, advised more than 50 businesses, and founded GoalQuest Advisors. He also remains deeply committed to his community, providing financial counseling to low-income families in Philadelphia and lecturing at local universities.
Clients appreciate Erik’s ability to simplify complex financial concepts, his meticulous attention to detail, his extensive industry experience, and the genuine care and humanity he brings to every relationship.
