Professional Bio
Irene Murphree is a Senior Portfolio Management Associate in Glenmede’s Philadelphia office. In this role, she is responsible for supporting a team of Portfolio Managers in providing investment advice, asset allocation, and ongoing portfolio management to ultra-high net worth families.
Prior to joining Glenmede, Ms. Murphree was a Fixed Income Investment Analyst for the Minnesota State Board of Investment, where she was responsible for asset allocation and manager research across a $23.5 billion fixed income portfolio. Ms. Murphree began her career as a Senior Associate in KPMG’s Philadelphia office, where she performed business and intangible asset valuations for financial reporting and tax valuation purposes.
Ms. Murphree holds a Master of Accountancy in Valuation from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Economics and Finance from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she graduated In Cursu Honorum Magna Cum Laude. She is a CFA® Charterholder and a member of CFA® Society Philadelphia. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
