"Straddling the Border: Select Considerations when a Canadian Person or Asset Appears in a U.S. Plan"

The February program will be offered as a virtual meeting only.
We will not be offering an in-person option.

This presentation will consider certain international estate planning issues, through a Canadian / U.S. lens. How should we deal with Canadians or Canadian assets in U.S. plans, and vice versa.  Please note, that our speaker will be joining us virtually from Canada for this program.

Speaker: Cheyenne J.H. Reese, Legacy Tax + Trust Lawyers

Cheyenne assists clients with tax, estate and trust planning. Cheyenne received her J.D. from the University of Victoria in 2005 and her Masters of Law Degree in International Taxation from New York University in 2006. As a result, a major part of her practice is related to cross border U.S. – Canada transactions and estate planning, including estate, gift, and generation skipping tax issues. In addition, Cheyenne advises U.S. citizens and green card holders regarding U.S. tax compliance and the U.S. expatriation tax rules.
