PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Looking at recent updates from USPAP, the Art Advisory Panel and a review of the appraisal types and how they best fit into an estate plan. Also addressed are issues with authenticity, liquidity, restitution and shifts in the art market and how they impact planning and post-death administration. Case studies and tales from the art world with a focus on Philadelphia and the upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Speaker:
Molly Gron, J.D. is Managing Director, Trusts, Estates and Private Clients Group, at Freeman's. Molly joined Freeman's in 2015. She has over 20 years of experience in the art and appraisal world, focusing on advising trust officers, fiduciaries, estate planning professionals, and their private clients. She serves on her firm's Management Committee and regularly works with family offices, beneficiaries, and institutions across the country.
She holds a B.A. from Villanova University, M.A. in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law concentrating her studies within the Center for Art, Museum & Cultural Heritage Law. Molly is frequently tapped as a speaker on a variety of topics around estate planning for tangible personal property.
