MANNA uses nutrition to improve health for people with serious illnesses who need nourishment to heal. By providing medically tailored meals and nutrition education, we empower people to improve their health and quality of life. MANNA prepares and delivers nutritious, medically appropriate meals to neighbors who are battling serious illnesses such as cancer, renal disease and HIV/AIDS. From hands on cooking classes and nutrition counseling to the delivery of 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, MANNA provides nourishment, hope and healing to the Greater Philadelphia Area, Southern New Jersey and beyond.
The PEPC will participate in an afternoon volunteer shift on Wednesday February 4th from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. Volunteers help to chop, dice, cook and package meals. A volunteer shift often includes working on a line to package items for a breakfast or lunch meal, or help to prepare and package sandwiches or entrée items.
After our volunteer shift, we will also have a short session with MANNA team members to learn more about the organization, and then have a happy hour at the MANNA facilities.
