The “Uniform Fiduciary Access to Digital Assets” act is sweeping the nation, has been enacted in NJ, and is proposed in Pennsylvania. What are digital assets and what are the ethical responsibilities of the estate planning team to safeguard them? This program will be a panel discussion that will i) explain the new act, ii) address a recent ABA ethics formal opinion on ethical obligations of lawyers dealing with digital assets and cybersecurity and iii) will provide guidance from the tech industry on the practical realties of cybersecurity. The panel will include not only expert attorneys but also two experts from the industry that can provide insight on the steps you should be taking… NOW!
